Tally uses Google's own file picker and asks for access to only the spreadsheet you choose (Google's drive.file permission — it cannot see your other files). The sheet is fetched straight from Google into this browser, verified on your device, and nothing is stored on our servers.

Connect QuickBooks and, after you verify a sheet, Tally can check it against your books — matching rows by customer and comparing the totals (invoices minus credit memos). Nothing runs until you confirm the reading. One-time check — Tally keeps no QuickBooks credential.

Keep watching this sheet

Tally can re-pull this sheet on a schedule, re-verify every figure, and record when it stops tying out — including when the data changes underneath it. This stores a Google token with us (encrypted) until you stop the watch; you approve it in a second Google consent. (Google’s screen lists the same file permission — it no longer shows a separate “offline” line; approving that second consent is what issues the long-lived credential.)
